A motorcyclist was in custody Sunday, accused of intoxication manslaughter in the Saturday morning traffic death of his passenger, police said.

Jail records identified the suspect as Justin A. Ramos, 27. A hometown was not listed on jail logs, but his Facebook page indicated he lived in Fort Worth.

Ramos was in a local hospital Saturday, but his condition was not available on Sunday.

His passenger, killed in the accident early Saturday, was Zoe Niven, 21, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website on Sunday. Public records show that she lived in Flower Mound.

The accident occurred shortly before 12:30 a.m. Saturday in the 12000 block of the northbound lanes of Interstate 35W.

Ramos was traveling at a high-rate of speed on his motorcycle when he hit a portable road sign, police said.

Niven survived the crash, but was killed moments later when she was hit by a passing vehicle, police said.
