Summer means F-U-N!  Most of the time…

Unfortunately, it also means we get so busy planning vacations, caravanning kids to camps and trying to occupy teens and the moment we let down our guards, the unforeseen happens…

Recently, in Parker County, two boys, one teenager, and one twelve year old were doing what boys do in the country.  They were playing outside.  Then some snake decides to scare the bejeebies out of them.  They again, did what a lot of boys their age would do – they went to find a gun.  Unfortunately, in retrieving the weapon, the gun went off and that summer day turned tragic.  The young man was shot in the abdomen.  Upon awakening his first request was to his mother… he didn’t want her to bring charges against his friend.

It’s sad that this young man was worried about his friend getting in trouble.  As personal injuries, we don’t “file charges on anyone”.  We leave the criminal matters to the authorities.  We do however, find out if the responsible party has insurance that might cover this incident so your family can have some help covering the enormous medical bills.

Unfortunately, injuries occur.  If you or someone you know has been injured by a firearm, please contact the Law Offices of Tom Hall today at 817-831-6100.  We offer free consultations and there is no obligation on your part.  Let us help you and we can be a part of the solution.
