Flying is safer than ever despite recent crashes

It is the holiday season and many families are traveling together.  One man lost his brother and six others tragically in Air Asia Flight 8501.  162 passengers were on board.  The authorities have recovered six bodies and the search continues.  

According to CNBC news, there were 22 recorded accidents in 2014 which resulted in 992 fatalities.   CNBC goes on to report the following airline mishaps in 2014: Malaysia Airlines MH370, which disappeared in March carrying 239 people; Malaysian Airlines MH17, which went down following a probable missile attack over Ukraine in July with 298 people, and Air Algerie AH5017, also in July, which crashed with 116 passengers and crew aboard.
