Tom Hall

Attorney

Tom Hall is a native Texan. Many attorneys prefer the Fort Worth high rises and downtown location. He prefers to remain in the community where he built his reputation—in a simple building along Highway 121. Tom respects and appreciates where he came from and believes in giving back to those who gave him a chance. Currently, he serves on the Board of Trustees at Austin College where he received his undergraduate degree and represents the school in legal matters free of charge.

But Tom’s also a die-hard Red Raider fan. Tom graduated from Texas Tech University School of Law and is President of the Law School Foundation. He teaches each summer at the law school in Lubbock, hoping to make a difference in the lives of young lawyers—the way other lawyers made a difference in his. Tom provides donations and scholarships to both schools. Again, someone once believed in him and gave him a chance, and he tries to “pay it forward.”

Tom took and passed the required six-hour written exam to become a board certified* specialist so his clients would be confident in choosing him.

Board Certification Makes A Difference

Tom is also experienced. Not only is Tom a skilled attorney, he is also Board Certified* in Personal Injury by the State Bar of Texas Board of Legal Specialization. In Texas, there are over 100,000 licensed attorneys, but only 7,000 – 8,000 are recognized as Board Certified* specialists. Because he wanted his clients to be confident when choosing him as their attorney, Tom took and passed the required six-hour written exam that, according to the Board, is a “mark of excellence and distinguishing accomplishment.”

Tom has been Board Certified as a Personal Injury Trial Law Specialist since 1988. This is longer than many young attorneys have been alive.

Coupled with his experience is a winning attitude. Tom may be very down to earth with his clients, but his aggressive behavior as an attorney has earned him a reputation that insurance companies respect. Over the years, Tom has won many large verdicts and settlements and earned a variety of accolades. One of his achievements is his appointment as Guardian Ad Litem by the judges in Tarrant County. These judges’ hand-select Tom to represent minors who are involved in lawsuits pending in their courtrooms. Tom has a soft spot for children and values his court appointments advocating for them.

Tom served 6 years with the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the State Bar of Texas. This gave him a unique opportunity to stay abreast of attorney education requirements and have input on new and necessary topics.

But perhaps most important, Tom considers himself a regular guy. Tom enjoys hunting, fishing, riding ATVs, and spending quality time with his family at his ranch in Palo Pinto. He loves both freshwater and saltwater fishing, and a passion is his annual trip to Alaska each September to slay the silver salmon!

True to his Texas roots, Tom supports the local sports teams. Some of his fondest memories are spending time with his son, T.J., at Dallas Stars games. Recently, he was able to share an evening at the Texas Ranger game with his daughter, Devon. Tom also appreciates the opportunity to watch his Dallas Cowboys. Tom is an exceptional lawyer who wants to help his neighbors in any way he can.
